Vein Removal
The vein specialists at The Vein and Vascular Institute have treated thousands of patients in the Riverview area who were suffering from varicose veins and spider veins, and now these patients are enjoying healthy and great-looking legs again.
VEIN SURGEON DR. GOLDBACH TREATING VENOUS INSUFFICIENCY AND VARICOSE VEINS

Our board certified vascular surgeons treat venous insufficiency and remove varicose veins using endovenous laser ablation (EVLT), Varithena® microfoam, micro-stab phlebectomy and sclerotherapy injections.
Vein treatment is performed on an outpatient basis at our vascular facilities, take less than an hour to perform and allow our patients to return to their daily activities within 24 hours with minimal to no scarring in the treatment areas.
It is important to know that if not treated, varicose veins only worsen with time, putting you at risk of developing a potentially deadly blood clot within the diseased veins.

VEIN SPECIALIST HOLLY KERR REMOVING SPIDER VEINS

Our spider vein specialists remove spider veins using sclerotherapy injections.
During a Sclerotherapy session a concentrated medication is injected directly into the spider vein using a small needle that is similar to an acupuncture needle.
Once the injection is performed, the vein closes up and dries out, and this makes the spider vein instantaneously disappear.
It is important to know that spider veins are an indication of a deeper vascular disorder (venous insufficiency). It is recommended to properly treat venous insufficiency to prevent spider veins from re-appearing after sclerotherapy treatment.

Peripheral Artery Disease Treatment
Peripheral artery disease (PAD) occurs when the arteries in the arms or legs become blocked by plaque build-up, restricting healthy blood supply and putting you at risk of amputation. At The Vein and Vascular Institute outpatient surgery suites, our board certified vascular surgeons treat PAD on an outpatient basis.
DR. KERR EXPLAINS PAD
Our board certified vascular surgeons specialize in limb salvage and one of our biggest goals is to reduce the 75,000 yearly leg amputations due to PAD in the U.S. That is why we are passionate about treating patients who suffer from arterial disease, and why we encourage early diagnosis and treatment.
We have the most technologically advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment available in the vascular industry to diagnose and treat peripheral arterial disease.
Using minimally invasive procedures that do not require an overnight hospital stay, we provide PAD treatment such as Atherectomy, Angioplasty, and Stenting.

Carotid Artery Disease Treatment
Carotid artery disease is a very serious medical condition because it can go unnoticed and because blockage in the carotid artery only increases with time and can cause a stroke if left untreated.
Carotid artery surgery performed by the board certified vascular surgeons at The Vein and Vascular Institute of Riverview offers quick recovery time because it can be performed using the most advanced minimally-invasive surgical techniques, such as balloon angioplasty and stenting.

At The Vein and Vascular Institute, we are proud to have some of the top vascular surgeons in the Tampa Bay area, such as Dr. Brandt Jones, who was one of the first vascular surgeons in the Tampa area to use the revolutionary TCAR procedure (TransCarotid Artery Revascularization) to provide the safest and most effective carotid artery disease treatment available anywhere in the world.

Aortic Aneurysm Repair
An aortic aneurysm is an abnormal bulge in the aorta that forms because the aortic wall has become weak and the pressure of blood flow has caused the aortic wall to expand.
If the aortic aneurysm continues to expand, it can eventually rupture, causing severe internal bleeding and possibly death.
At The Vein and Vascular Institute of Riverview, our vascular surgeons have saved hundreds of lives by performing aortic aneurysm surgery because they are experts in detecting and treating thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms.

Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE)
In the past, women who suffered from uterine fibroids were only presented with aggressive surgical treatments that would negatively affect their fertility such as a hysterectomy or an endometrial ablation.
However, now at The Vein and Vascular Institute, our board certified vascular surgeons offer a minimally-invasive treatment for uterine fibroids called Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE).
UFE is performed on an outpatient basis, leaves no visible scarring and allows women to maintain their fertility.
